I'm Ashley, a driven and personable fullstack software engineer. Zealous about writing readable & reusable frontend code and scalable & reliable backend code.

My professional and personal life has been very colorful and unique. I'm highly self-ambitious, always excited to try things outside of my comfort zone. I may come off a little shy at first but I'm really a spirited and warm soul, like cat 🙃. With a penchant for the funky and quirky things in life, I lead with empathy and curiosity. Which has been immensely beneficial since I've always worked closely with people, either as team-mates or customers. Before becoming a software engineer I worked in the service industry as a manger/server, as a workplace manager at Udacity, a prominent education start-up, and I have delightedly led as the founder of my own Taiwanese food business. I have many valuable technical and nontechnical skills that I can bring to any workplace.

My core driving factor is helping others. I'm committed to social justice, healthcare, mental wellness, fitness, climate justice, human rights, equality, education, or sustainability. I geek out on sports, nature, traveling, anything involving food, building community, and cats. Oh, and Esther Perel, I'm a huge fan-girl. I'm a naturally artistic, I can't resist adding personality and flair. I consider myself adventurous, open-minded, driven, and silly.
